Stamp it....

Not long now for one of the biggest days of the year for most people, and a time to spare a thought for those who live alone or who have other problems to deal with. I do hope that everyone will enjoy what ever they have planned for the Christmas celebrations.
On to the Cd Sunday challenge
Our last challenge was chosen by team mate Jocelyn and she will have her work cut out deciding her top three out the wonderful entries that you submitted.
It is my turn to pick the challenge for you and i have gone with Stamp it , now i know this challenge falls across the festive season but if your looking for a brake from all of that then i hope you will join us .
For my card i have used once again Festive Hollybobs for my CD elements, the stamps i have used are , for the postcard JustRight stamps and the script on the stamp is from a set from 7 gypsies and the poinsettia is from Penny black, the little elf is a digi from the Hollybobs CD , they have been coloured with alcohol markers. The shaped card was cut out on my cameo and edged with stickles.
That just leaves me to say that i do hope you will be able to join us and to wish you all a Very Happy Christmas . x

Song Titles with Jocelyn

This weeks challenge at CD Sunday is set for you by team mate Jocelyn and it is Song Titles.  This has given me another opportunity to make another Christmas card using a Polka Doodles CD called Festive Hollybobs. The song title i have chosen is Deck the Halls.
I have used an 8x8 card base and printed off all the elements and backing paper from the CD.
I have mounted the image on to silver foil paper then i have cut into the B/P using a craft knife to cut around the holly and place the image into it to make a sort of frame for the image . This Happy Christmas was cut on a die i got free with a magazine .
Well i hope the design team have given you plenty of inspiration and i look forward to seeing what you come up with this time around.

P...is for with Wynn @ CD Sunday

Well how time flies, these two weeks have flown by`and I'm no further advanced with my Christmas cards.
I'm sure some of you already know that our team mate Caz has stepped down from the design team and she will be missed by all of us , so thanks Caz for all your great input and contribution to the team and good luck in your next venture.
Our last challenge,  Coffee , peach and cream saw some beautiful entries so Christine will let us know who she picked for her top three.
This week is the turn of team mate Wynn and she has chosen P...is for, well that leaves the door wide open for your imagination and we look forward to seeing what you come with this time around.
For my team contribution I have used  a Polka doodles CD called Festive Hollybobs and i am loving this and i will using this a lot i think this year for my cards.
My P element is of course the penguin, taken for the CD , in face the whole card has been made using the CD and i hope you like it.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge .

Sunday 2 November 2014

Coffee peach and cream with Christine.

Well we did have some really lovely silhouette for our last challenge set for you by Carol, now she has the task of sorting out her top three.
This week it is Christine's turn to set the challenge for you and she has gone with Coffee, peach and cream . I'm sure you will all be able to come up with some beautiful things with this colour combo.
For my card i have used 8x8 white card , the back paper is my CD element and has been taken from a My craft studio CD called Floriography . This is a CD that do use a lot full of beautiful design papers.
The back mat has been cut out on the camio and top is a die cut from tonic called delicate lattice, the flowers are stamps from heart felt creation , they have been fussy cut as i don't the die that goes with the stamps, they have been painted with metallic paint called sunset gold and embossed with a ranger embossing powder called orange sherbet. I love the verse on the inside and i think it came from TLC creations.
The team and i look forward to seeing what you can do with this challenge and visiting your blogs.

Silhouetts with Carol at CD Sunday

What a great response to our Christmas is coming challenge, so Jenny really will have hard job selecting her top three from those beautiful entries.
This week it's Carols choice and she has gone with Silhouettes .
My card has been made using Joanna Sheen's dancing with shadows.
It is a very quick and easy card this week using a 6x6 white card and a red and white striped paper from a Polka doodles cd. The mat was cut on a camio and the printed image placed on top with a sentiment, job done.  It does need something else and i will add a bit of bling or glitter when i do the insert.
I do hope you will able to join us again this fortnight and please remember to use something from a CD no matter how small and tell us what CD you have used.

Christmas is coming with Jenny at CD Sunday

Christmas is coming......
and how true is that , it will be on us before we know it. I don't know about you but every year i tell myself i will be more organized but it never happens. So our challenge for this fortnight will help to kick start the card making at least.
For my card i have used a white 8x8 card blank , the CD is  the crafter's  inspiration from crafters companion, this is issue 3 winter edition,  this has a selection of CD's on it in a watered down version of each CD but a really good selection of toppers and papers to give you a insight into the CD's. I have used the Barkley set for my card,The paper and mat have been cut on a rotatrim and i have used the pinking cutting blade for this.  The sentiment ...Countdown to Christmas 25 and the snow flake have been cut out on the cameo.
The design team have been been busy and created lovely things for your inspiration so do go and check them out.
As this is a CD challenge please remember that you must use something from a CD and tell us what CD you have used as this will also make it eligible for any prize that may be on offer.

clean and simple

The card i have made today is for the challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week it's clean and simple.
I have used a cream base card in a tent fold and used some craft card for the mat ,. the image was cut out on the cameo and coloured within the program and the sentiment is computer generated . A very quick and easy card to make , i was looking for a  tut for something on the cameo and came across this,  so i really can't take any credit for it's design only the fact that i work it and put it together.

Happily ever after with Caz & CD Sunday

Happily ever after with Caz at CD Sunday.

Before we look at our next challenge let me just say thank you for your entries into the the Get Well challenge, lovely cards and all so different from each other. I will be going over them all again and the top three will be put on the blog.
Now on to our latest challenge set by Caz...... Happily Ever after.
For my DT card this week i have used white linen card 8X6,  a long time since i made a card in this size, i usually use squares 6x6 or 8x8 . I have used Ooh la la's Say it with words for the papers and again i have gone with a digi stamp from Tiddly inks called You and me. It's a lovely image and has been coloured with pro markers, still trying to get to grips with the colouring but I'll keep practicing, i find it very relaxing too. I have also used a couple of spellbinder dies and the leaves are a stamp set from heart felt creations that i stamped with a garnet ink ,  and i added three paper roses, the love you stamp was in a set that came with a magazine. The inside has been done with same paper from the CD and the stamped sentiment is from Kaisercraft called Dream big.
I hope you like it and please pop over to see what the rest of DT's have created for your inspiration, you wont be disappointed.
i look forward to seeing what you come with for Challenge and remember to tell us what CD you have used.

Oriental Theme

It's been a while since i visited Digitally sweet challenges but popped over today and the challenge is Oriental Theme.
I have a couple of digital stamps that i was going use for this but then i dug out a Debbi Moore CD that i have never got round to using and decided  to use an image from that.
I have compiled it all in craft artist , apart from the main image the rest is made up of various kits.

Make your own background

I have been trying to improve my colouring with promarkers and although still not at the top of my game i can see some slight improvement . I have made this card for the challenge at I love promarkers and it's to make your own background.
I have use a  white card and using a mask and pan pastels i have made the background , the stamp is called school girl and she is from tiddly inks.

Steampunk challenge 33

Over at cardz4guyz this week is Steampunk,
I have made this card in sepia tones on an 8x8 white card, now i do like steampunk a lot but it is not the easiest of things to do in making cards, luckily i have a couple of CD's and and a few craft artist kits. I love all the metal cogs and hinges that you would normally do with steampunk but it not a good idea if sending cards through the post. i did cut out several embellishments and the main image as i was going to use sticky dots to have raised but then changed my mind and just stuck them down.  So this is what i have come up with and i do hope you like it.

Wednesday 27 August 2014

Fancy folds

This week at OOh la la it's all about fancy folds.
The card i have made for this is a 5x5 white card base and i have used the ooh la la CD called Say it with words.
I have used the sister image and two paper from this group, mated the image onto a light fawn card , the gate folds interlock and keeps it perfectly flat . Once opened you you can stand it with the gates coming forward or to the back. This is a nice and easy card to make and has given me some ideas for Christmas cards.

Get well with Sue at CD Sunday

Hi and good morning peeps.
Our last challenge was Quilted fun chosen by Jocelyn and she will be picking out her Top three and letting us know just who that will be real soon.
This time it is my choice and i have gone with Get Well, in fact i have had a few to make over the past few weeks and i do like to have a couple in stand by .
The card i have for you this time is a square 6x6 white card, the CD i have used from Polka doodles Work & play collection 1. I have used the papers from the nurse set and a digi stamp called sick chick from, From the heart stamps. I love this little chick and you also get the sentiments with the image. I have printed out a couple of images and decoupaged it using small sticky dots.
I have used promarkers for the colouring, in fact one of the reason for going with the stamp was to get some practice in with my colouring as i have not done very much of late and it shows,.
Do go and visit all the inspiration that the DT's have put together, fabulous creations.
I hope you will be joining in with us and please let us know what CD you have used.
see you soon x

Quilted fun with Jocelyn at CD Sunday

Good CD Sunday Morning peeps.
Thank you for the fabulous cards you created for our Food glorious food Challenge with Wynn.
Wynn will  be checking them all out and will give us her top Three soon.

This week at CD Sunday are having Quilted fun with Jocelyn, and once again she and the rest of the design team have come up with beautiful inspiration for you .
For my DT card i have use a 6x6 white card and compiled everything in craft artist.
The CD i used this week is a Crafters inspiration Cd that came free with their magazine, i have used the Bebunnie from this.

Using craft artist is great for adding drop shadows and emboss, giving the card some dimension and the illusion of layers, and as i have said before ideal for keeping the postage down .
I do hope you be able to join us and show us what you can do, don't forget to mention what CD you have used.

Sunday 27 July 2014

New beginnings

Just a very quick card as i wanted to try out some embossing powder that i have not used before, it's from Ranger and has been around for some time now but i have only just got round to using it.
The stamps are from Inkadinkado called Good morning, a set of nine in all. I have stamped them with versafine, i did use memento first but that did not good detail, i then used the Rangers embossing pearl in pearl blue and i do like it , the colour is really nice and has a metallic sheen and with it being so fine it has kept all the stamps details in tact. The card is made using craft card in a 6x6, also used some washie tape down the sides.

Food Glorious food , Wynn

Hi everyone and welcome to a new challenge at  CD Sunday.
The theme this time around has been picked for you by Wynn and it's.....Food glorious Food.
For my card i have used Crafters companion's flower fairies and friends and House mouse.
I have used lilac card for the base and to mount the main image, incidentally i got this at Lidl, a multi-coloured pad of pastels, 25 sheets at 24x34cm and 270gsm and only cost £3, a bargain i think.
I have compiled everything in craft artist and printed out then layered up and ever conscious of postage it is fairly flat.
The team have come up with some great inspiration for you, so do pop over and visit them to find out how they do things too.
I look forward to visiting you and please remember you must use something from a CD no matter how small to be eligible for any prize that may be on offer.

CD Sunday ,Kind and caring thoughts with Christine

Well i for one was really impressed with some the ideas you crafty lot came up with for our round again challenge with Carol. Carol will let us know her top three shortly.
This fortnights Challenge has been set by Christine and it's Kind and caring thoughts, and everyone can always do with some of that.
For my card i have used MCS Simply sentiments, so many really good ones you are spoilt for choice, I have only used some paper from this CD , i changed my mind about the verse at the last minute and went with this one that saw on the net so replaced the original one.
I do hope you will be able to join us, and don't forget you now have two week to get your entries in .

Get Well

A get well card for a friend who is going to have a hip replacement soon.
This was compiled in craft artist and printed out, i duplicated some of the elements so i could make them decoupaged, I have used a Polka Doodles CD called Work & play collection 1. Love these Cd's, you can do so much with them or just make a quick card if your in a hurry.

I am entering into the following challenges

Round again (Recycling) at CD Sunday

Round again (Recycling), that's the challenge from Carol this week.,
but first thanks to all of you who entered our Dies challenge set by Jenny, lovely cards from everyone and jenny will be deciding on her top 3.
Now as i say Carol has set the mood for this challenge and i hope you will enjoy it as much i have , just take a look at what the DT's have come up with to hopefully give you some inspiration.
I have recycled a pet food box , this is extremely strong firm cardboard and proved perfect for the spine and covers for these mini albums. I have made two from one box so that's a great saving on chipboard that would normally be used in the making of these albums, both albums have six pages with pockets for adding your photos and journalling cards and tages for recording your memories.
I was also able to use a lot of papers that  i have printed off from CD's and not got round to using, and as you know we accumulate a lot of stuff and it keeps getting larger by the week, so i have made a small dent in the past stash and that's something i wanted to do this year, use what i have.
I found a tutorial for this on youtube  and was very easy to follow and make

CD Sunday Challenge ....Dies

Good morning everyone , I hope you have all taken advantage of the lovely weather we have been having.
Our challenge two ago was set by Caz ( at the seaside ) and the entries where all fab so Caz will selecting her top three.
For our next fortnightly Challenge it is Jenny's turn to set the theme and she has gone with Dies, I know these are really very popular just now and you can create some wonderful cards with them.
For my card i have used a white card that has been sprayed with three different colours of shimmer mist to match the paper i have used from the M.C.S.  CD Floriography, this is a favorite Cd for me as i love so many of the papers. I have used a piece of craft card and added a length of edging using a spellbinder die from the shapeabilities range called  Vintage lace accents, i put the floriography paper on top of this , on the paper i have also used a stamp called Botanical from Kaiser craft and i used a distressed for this keeping it quite muted, then added to further dies from spellbinders from the nestabilities and stamped the sentiment using distress ink from ranger, the flowers where stamped with exquisite embossing ink in garnet , added a ranger embossing powder called pearl blue then cut them out and formed the flower and added some stickles to the center of each flower . I wanted to make a semi gungy card and i think the use of the distressing inks have done this without it being too dark.
So i do hope you will be able to join in this week and don't forget you now have 2 weeks before the closing date.
Please remember to use something from a CD and give credit to whatever you use,

Cd Sunday At the seaside

This week has flow by and it's Sunday and a new month.
Thank you for your lovely entries for the tots to teens challenge last week, i have a lot to think about and will be going over all the entries again and Jenny will announce the top three on the blog next Sunday i think, although our challenges are  now fortnighly.
This week is Caz's turn to pick a theme and she has gone with At the seaside.
Foe my card i have gone with an old favorite as you can always find something appropriate with La Pashe, The best of La Pashe .
Made on 7x7 yellow card and with one layer of decoupage and i printed out a few shells and things relating to the sea.
I do hope you will be able to join us this week and remember to tell us what CD you have used.

Tots to teens

This week we have sadly said goodby to Beryl as she has stepped down from the DT , wishing her well with what ever life has to offer and hope she will still join in with us whenever she can.
The other news is that we will become a fortnightly challenge as from next Sunday giving the team and you more time to create and enter, but for this challenge you have just a week and i do hope you will be able to join in with us.
It's my choice this week for the CD Sunday challenge and i have gone with Tots to teens , as i have five grandchildren i am always looking for inspiration in this area and think that sometimes they can be as tricky as male cards especially the teens.
For my card i have made it entirely from the Polka Doodles Work and play collection 2, working with it in craft artist. I have used an 8x8 white card and resized the image to fit the layout. I printed out all the papers and elements and layered them up, i decided to keep a white border with this as the papers are quite bold. I have used the coloured image from the cd just to save time but all the images do come in coloured and stamped so you can colour your own and go with want you want .
Please remember to use something from a CD but also to name what you have used in your write up.

One for the boys

Cd Sundays theme this week is' One for the boys' and has been chosen by Jocelyn, so i hope you can join in this week.
I have had a busy month so far for birthday cards, this one is really an extra for my son who i think is having a midlife crisis and has gone back in time to the mod theme and bought himself a scooter, oh well at least i didn't have to worry about him in his teens riding about on one then.
All compiled in craft artist and using many of the effect within the program and has been printed onto glossy photo paper and mounted onto a 8x8 artist board, I'm pleased to say he likes it as he is not one for flower or puppies. My CD elements are the two backing papers both from the polka doodles work and play collections.

Pink, pink, pink

It's Pink ,pink, pink at the Graph'it colour challenge and i have made an 8x8 card using graph'it pens  and a Sheena Douglass stamp and also Prima stamps for the wording.
I have not done very much colouring of late so this is a perfect opportunity to get some practice in.
Sorry the picture quality is not so good as it has been taken in artificial light tonight, but i hope you like it,

Victorian Beauties

Good morning crafters, not a very bright start to  the day, but as they say things can only get better, or is that just wishful thinking on my part.
This week Challenge at CD Sunday is Victorian Beauties and has been chosen by team mate Wynn, so i hope you can all join us again this week.
For my card i have used a CD i got on ebay called Victorian Ladies.
I have made an A5 card using  white card base, for the matting i used a tan card, printed off the backing paper and the image onto thin card, the image is decoupaged, but done the old way without using lifters, there are four layers, just enough to give some dimension and not affect postage.  (not very noticeable in the picture)  and assembled them together. The sentiment is computer generated and matted onto the same tan card, added liquid pearls (copper pearl) to the border of the image and added a flower that was cut on my cameo, used Pan pastels on the tips of the flower using red iron oxide tint.
Well that's about it for my card and i hope that after looking at the lovely inspiration cards made by the design team you are already thinking about what you will be using for our challenge this week, and please remember to tell us what CD you have used in your creation.

For someone special

For someone special and this is Beryl's choice for the challenge at CD Sunday this week.
Once again i have been caught napping, thought i had done a card and no i was only dreaming. However i had been making a this box card for my friends daughter who will having her 40th birthday next month. The box card is extremely easy to make but i found the difficult part was deciding how to decorate it and place the parts. Now that i have made one i am more confident to do another.
The CD i have used is Linda Ravenscroft  Enchanted, but i have only used one small piece and that is the butterfly, the paper that have been used on the flaps are from a cd but i can't remember which one as it's out of a box of papers that i have printed out some time ago and did make a note on it.

I do hope you all have someone special that you want to make a card for this week and join in with us, we love to visit you .

Wheel fun

The challenge at Cardz 4 guyz this week is Wheel fun.
I have had a busy week and didn't think i would have time to enter this week , but as i was looking through my magazine i noticed this image of the car as a free download and i thought it was just right for Ray who is going to be 60 next month and also right for the challenge, so here it is.
The image has been printed off and coloured with Graphit-markers, i have used a 8x8 white card with kraft card and a old page from a road atlas, some bakers twine and a button and card candy.

The sky's the limit

The sky's the limit
This week at cardz 4 guyz the challenge is.....The sky's the limit.
For my card i have decided on steam punk as i think this is just right for guy cards. I have several males to make birthdays cards for this month both young and old so i will be able to get some inspiration from you guy's.

Sunday 13 April 2014

something old, something new

Our team mate Christine is home from her travels and just in time for her choice for this weeks challenge and that is Something old  something new.
So check out the CD Sunday challenge blog for your inspiration from the team this week.
We had lovely entries for Caz's choice last week (something beginning with D) and her top 3 will be on the blog next week, so look in to see if you are one of them.
I am very late doing my card for this weeks challenge , head and sieve come to mind, i really thought i had already done one.
so for my late and rushed card i have used my new Angelika & Adam CD and for the old i have used my Sizix dies , they where the first dies i ever bought.

Numbers

Good morning crafters,
Over at cardz 4 guyz their challenge this week is ...Numbers.
Well i had just made a card for my Grandson Logan who will be 3 this year so i thought it to be just right to enter this.
I have used the new polka doodles Work & play collection and this is the go karter from collection 2.
I have used an 8x8 white base card and compiled all the elements in craft artist and printed out, i am really liking these 2 new CD from Polka doodles and think i will be using them quite a lot

Sunday 6 April 2014

something beginning with...D

CD Sunday Challenge .....Something beginning with ...D
This is Caz's choice for team B this week and what a good choice it is, so many possibilities  with this, so put on your thinking caps and join us this week, the only thing to remember is to use something from a CD and link it to your post and not your blog.
I have just got the new Polka Doodles CD's work & play collections and i have made my card from collection 1 and used the drummer.
I have used an 6x6 white card and compiled it in craft artist, my original intention was to print out all the elements i wanted to use and cut out and layer everything up, but then i decided to see just what it looked like if i set it out in craft artist and add a drop shadow and print it out flat, and this is the result. I am really pleased with the result, as you can see it does give a good 3D impression. Doing it this way is a lot quicker for when you need something in hurry and also being flat posting is no problem at all.

Make us laugh

this weeks theme at Cardz 4 guyz  is ....Make us laugh, and the design team have come up with great inspiration cards. I have gone with this as i have a birthday to make a card for this week, not that i'm saying men are a little vain when they turn a certain age you understand !!!!!!

CD Sunday's Challeng --Sketch

CD Sunday Challenge ....Sketch
We have a new challenge for you at CD Sunday and it's chosen by Jenny, i think you will like this one, it's a sketch.
Now you have so many ways with this , three separate pictures or one cut into three.
I have gone for three separate pictures and have gone with steam punk, I have used a background paper from MCS Tinkering with steam punk, two of the images are from kanban and the central picture, the funky cat , well that was a net image that i just loved and wanted to use
I look forward to seeing how you interpret the sketch.

Going round in circles

Going round in circles

Morning everyone, this week at CD Sunday they are going round in circles, so if this is you (and it's quite often me) come and play along.
The choice this week is from our Jocelyn and i had to think about this and see just what i had on CD for the challenge, but once you start to think about it there are so many things that go round in circles (apart from my mind).
I have used a my craft studio CD Tinkering with steampunk , love steampunk but it's been a while since i have done any.
There was quite a few things i could have used from this CD but i have gone with the clock, i should have printed two or three of the clocks to do some decoupage but i have gone with the flat version.
I hope you will be able to join in this week and see if you can come with something that team have not shown ,

I have added this card to the following challenge

Tag it

Tag it
That's the theme this week at Cardz 4 guyzhttp://cardz4guyz.blogspot.co.uk/, i have made a large tag out of red card and used spray shimmers over the top, the embellishments are from a scrap book kit , assembled into craft artist and printed out on a medium weight card and cut out, i have left a small white border so they show or pop against the dark tag.

I am entering this into the following challenges

Countdown to Christmas
